Slouch Hat Wines is a proud supporter of the Vets on Track Foundation. A portion of every case sold goes to supporting the wonderful mission that drives Vets on Track. Their mission is to end veteran homelessness and significantly reduce the number of suicides by helping rebuild self-worth, self-dignity, and purpose. Many organizations that work with the homeless do a wonderful job finding permanent housing and employment. Oftentimes, however, that is where their attention ends. Permanent housing without the basic comforts of a home – such as a bed, sofa, dishes, or cooking essentials – can have a devastating mental impact and negatively affect a veteran’s reintegration back into their community. Vets on Track accepts furniture donations in order to provide those basic comforts to newly housed veterans. This eliminates one of the largest stressors in the veteran’s life as he or she makes this monumental transition.
