Slouch Hat

(noun) A soft hat with a wide flexible brim often worn to protect oneself from the elements.

Example: She hung up her slouch hat after a long day toiling in the vineyard, poured a glass of wine, and took satisfaction in all that she had accomplished.

Reward Your Hard Work

The slouch hat we use to represent our winery is a symbol for the feeling of gratification we enjoy after a long day of work. Our hats protect us from the elements when we’re out in the vineyard. But when we take them off, it means it’s time to downshift; raise a glass to relaxation and take a moment to appreciate our accomplishments.

Whether you wear a slouch hat or not, we hope you take some time today to enjoy all you’ve achieved. You’ve earned your slouch.

Tierra Alta Vineyard at Sunrise with Slouch Hat hanging on a post

“By capturing the dynamic tension between the inland warmth and ocean chill in Santa Barbara County we bring the serenity of the vineyard to wherever you open a bottle. So, pour a glass, slouch back, and enjoy!”

— Matt Fowler, Founder & Chief Sloucher
